1. Cancelling Before Processing Begins
Contact info@amselleathers.com as soon as possible with your order number.
If processing has not begun, we will make reasonable efforts to stop the order.
2. The 48-Hour Request Period
We ask customers to contact us within 48 hours of ordering.
This is a service request period intended to improve the likelihood that changes can be made. It does not replace any statutory cancellation right applying to eligible goods.
3. Why Changes Cannot Be Guaranteed
Cancellation, address, size, colour or design changes cannot be guaranteed once preparation, fulfilment or eligible custom work begins.
Starting production does not by itself remove cancellation rights for an ordinary standard product.
4. Standard Online-Order Cancellation Rights
UK consumers buying eligible standard goods online will normally have 14 days to communicate cancellation without giving a reason.
5. When the Statutory Period Begins
For most eligible goods, the period ends 14 days after the day the customer, or a nominated person, receives the goods.
Special rules can apply to split deliveries.
6. Communicating Cancellation
Email info@amselleathers.com with:
- your name;
- order number;
- the products concerned; and
- a clear statement that you wish to cancel.
You may use the model form below or communicate cancellation through any other clear written statement.
7. Returning Goods
After communicating statutory cancellation, the customer normally has a further 14 days to return the goods.
Return authorisation and instructions support efficient handling. An internal authorisation number is not a condition that removes a statutory cancellation right validly exercised within the applicable period, and a valid statutory return will not be rejected solely because an internal authorisation number was not issued.
Customers should wait for the correct return address wherever reasonably possible. Unauthorised parcels may experience processing delays.
8. Custom and Personalised Exceptions
Cancellation rights may not apply, where legally permitted, to goods genuinely made to the customer’s specifications, clearly personalised, made to measure, or altered specifically for that customer.
A standard product in an ordinary listed size is not automatically personalised.
9. Faulty or Incorrect Products
Rights concerning faulty, damaged, misdescribed or incorrectly supplied goods remain separate and are not reduced by a cancellation exception.
10. Refund Timing
Where statutory cancellation applies, refunds are made within the legally required period. We may be entitled to wait until the goods are returned or evidence of return is supplied.
11. Standard Outbound Delivery Costs
Where required, the least expensive standard outbound delivery charge offered for the cancelled order will be refunded.
Additional express or premium delivery charges need not necessarily be refunded beyond the standard-delivery equivalent.
12. Direct Return Costs
The customer normally pays the direct cost of returning change-of-mind goods where this responsibility has been properly disclosed and the law permits it.
