These terms explain how selected custom, personalised and made-to-measure requests are reviewed, confirmed and fulfilled.
Effective date: 15 June 2026

1. Scope
Selected products may support:
- made-to-measure sizing;
- individual measurements;
- name or text personalisation;
- colour changes;
- design alterations; or
- special production requests.
Availability is product-specific.
2. Enquiry and Quotation
A custom enquiry is not accepted until feasibility, specifications, price and estimated production time have been confirmed.
3. Product Eligibility
Not every product can be customised. Material, construction, supplier and technical limitations may apply.
4. Measurements
Measurements should be supplied in the requested units and format.
5. Measurement Accuracy
The customer is responsible for checking measurements supplied or approved.
Amsel Leathers remains responsible for producing the item in accordance with the confirmed specification, subject to reasonable construction characteristics.
6. Sizing Guidance
Guidance may be provided to help take or interpret measurements. It does not replace accurate measurement or guarantee a particular subjective fit.
7. Design Specifications
All agreed changes should be recorded in writing, including size, colour, material where confirmed, design details and personalisation.
8. Colour Requests
Colour appearance can vary between screens, samples and natural leather.
A requested colour should be described as precisely as practical. Materially incorrect colour remains subject to applicable rights.
9. Material Availability
Material, lining, hardware and component availability may change before acceptance.
Any proposed substitution requires customer approval where it materially changes the specification.
10. Personalised Text and Artwork
Check spelling, punctuation and layout carefully.
The customer must have the right to use submitted text, names, logos or artwork.
11. Intellectual-Property Responsibility
We may reject instructions that appear unlawful, infringing, abusive or unsuitable.
This does not transfer responsibility for an Amsel Leathers production error to the customer.
12. Proofs and Confirmations
Where a proof, drawing or written summary is offered, review it carefully.
A proof is intended to confirm the specification, not to excuse a material departure during production.
13. Final Approval
Custom production may begin after the final specification and applicable charges are approved.
14. Additional Charges
Custom sizing, alterations, special materials, personalisation or additional development may incur charges disclosed before acceptance.
15. Production Estimates
Custom production times may be longer than the standard 5–7 working-day processing period.
The longer period will be communicated and agreed as part of the confirmed specification. Estimates are not guaranteed completion or delivery dates where delay occurs outside reasonable control.
16. Changes After Approval
Requested changes after approval may be unavailable or may affect price and timing.
17. Cancellation
Contact us within 48 hours. We will make reasonable efforts to help.
The change-of-mind exception applies only where legally permitted to goods genuinely made to the customer’s specifications, clearly personalised, made to measure, or altered specifically for that customer.
Starting production alone does not remove cancellation rights for an ordinary standard product. A standard listed product or ordinary listed size is not automatically treated as personalised.
18. Construction Variation
Where relevant, natural leather and production processes can create minor variation in grain, shade, texture or placement.
No fixed tolerance is created by these terms. Natural variation does not excuse a material failure to follow the confirmed specification.
19. Fit Expectations
Fit depends on measurements, design, layering preferences and movement.
A custom product should correspond materially with the approved measurements and specification, but no subjective fit preference can be guaranteed beyond that agreement.
20. Alterations
Any post-delivery alteration service is considered individually. Charges and shipping may apply.
21. Returns Restrictions
Goods genuinely made to the customer’s specifications, clearly personalised, made to measure, or altered specifically for that customer are generally excluded from ordinary change-of-mind returns where legally permitted.
22. Faulty or Incorrect Custom Goods
Custom goods remain covered where faulty, damaged, materially different from the confirmed specification or incorrectly supplied.
23. Delivery
Custom production time and delivery transit are separate. The agreed custom-order period applies alongside mandatory rights concerning serious delay or non-delivery.
